Archive 2006 Once again our bowling season is over until next year, We have done sterling work for our club, Our Senior Citizens first Season, way to go wrinklies, Our New Junior Team showing the up and coming Youngsters Style, Men's Premier although not having the season they would have liked have romped home at the post, Ladies Well done on the Triple, The Woodies for hanging in there and giving em a run for their money. The Reporters To everyone for all their hard Work The grounds men and surrounds men to the bar staff and if I have missed anyone out many apologies, OOPS!! to everyone who gives me input for our site, and keeps us up there with the best, Will she never shut up I can hear you say, but all you Rockers give yourselves a pat on the back. Congratulations to the Mens Premier Team on the Winning their match in the Pool B Championships It's Official in Their First Season The New Wrockwardine Wood Juniors have Won their league, the Team consists of Liam Stevens, Ryan Stevens, Martin Gaut, Sally Clee, Phillip Jones Tim Cotton, Jodie Rutter, Alex Rutter, Stars is how they are described, Well done all of you. And the great part is they all have to attend a Presentation at Sinclair Social Club to pick up their Trophies
Congratulations to the Ladies on Winning the Doug Morrey Cup at John Maddocks Bowling Club on 16th September he Ladies do the TRIPLE well done everyone on the achievement on Donnington Wood commiserations to John Maddocks who gave us one hell of a scare, Way to Go Girls.
Congratulations to the Senior Citizens Team which although newly formed this year did a Sterling job of Winning their league. Thanks also to Dennis Sims for his Reports and Above is the Team Runners up in the Ashton Shield An American Doubles was held on our Green on Bank Holiday Monday Winners and Photos Posted here A great day was had by all, outstanding also were the two youngsters 11 years old and giving the adults a run for their money Sally Clee, and Jamie King. In the BCGLBA finals at Tarleton in Preston on Saturday Marie Rhodes was narrowly beaten in the Final by Betty Phillips of Wales What a fantastic Effort Marie Well done, Barbie Hughes our other Star Beat Ann Roberts Twice winner of the Trophy only to lose out to Sylvia Smith also a previous Winner, A great Performance from both our girls well Done Marie Rhodes Will go to Fleetwood on Sunday 9th July to play for England against the Isle-Of Man we wish her every Success also going to Fleetwood on the same day the Shropshire Junior Teams and once again we wish them all the very Best. The Teams can be found on the Junior Page Commiserations to our Premier Team last Saturday although I believe they gave it large unfortunately lost by 5 Chalks but better luck next time lads
Well done to the Two ladies Pairs who will represent Shropshire in the Dorothy Pierce Doubles at Edgbaston in August, both pairs play for 'The Wrockites' they are Sally Clee and Lisa Pessall, and Shirley Jones and Marie Rhodes.
Dale Downes got to the Semi finals of the Merit at Prees today losing out to the eventual winner, This gets Dale a place in the All England at Northenden Manchester on July 29th, Well done Dale excellent achievement and all the very best for July 29th
Our Premier Team won their Quarter final Tie last night against Greenfields at District club Whitchurch by 75 Chalks. In the Semis now, all the best Guys, onward and upward Congratulations to Ange and Allan Gaut on winning the County Mixed Doubles
