Todays match was a re-arranged match and was played at 10-30 in the morning, There was some excellent bowling all round but we were down by 25 when the first three came off, in the second half of the game the girls made a comeback and the eventual score was lost by 9. Well bowled ladies.

Maddocks (H)

It was a much better day to play our games Our first three cards  Celia Ghaut against Carol Weare 21-12, But P Thomas bowling against  Mo Thomas who always finds our green well 3-21 Di Oliver and Jan Davies ha quite a battle with Jan the victor 16-21, Rosemary Crofts playing Hilda rhodes showed a clean pair of heels and seemed recovered from the week before 21-18, Shirley Martin although having an excellent game was unlucky to lose 18-21, and Flossie found the heat a bit overpowering to lose 6-21 to Carol Hardman, Final Score -29

SJB (H)

Because of the Weather we Started 4 Games on the Green, some of the games took up to Two Hours, Rosemary Crofts an Number one played until heat exhausted, her and had to come off and go home,20-21, A new lady on the block bowled well to get 13 on her new green, Sheila Morgan went on well but Rita Oldham pulled away to win 16-21, Shirley Martin going Strong a good win under her belt 21-7, Floosie Biddulph led her opponent most of the way but lost the block and her weight 13-21, an on form Celia Ghaut 21-12 bowled consistently well in the heat, all in all a good game which was won by 1 Chalk.

Bowring  (A)

Today was a better day for bowling, although it did try to rain it didn't spoil the match. The first three cards were a struggle to begin with but eventually they started to make their mark, They lost their games but there was some really good bowling and  they were unlucky to lose the games Di Oliver just being pipped at 20-21, Second half was a bit better with two winners and one loser and again the standard of bowling was exceptional in total we lost by 16 Chalks, Again Well done girls.

Bridgnorth Gold (H)

It was a much cooler day for bowling, wit a drop of Rain here and there. We were 24 Down off the first Three although the girls bowled well. With the cards going level then the ladies from Bridgnorth getting a feel for the green, Second half thee games took a turn for the better with Celia Ghaut 21-11 Rosemary Crofts 21-18 with P Scott still getting used to her new green trust me girl it takes some getting used too Total Loss 24 Chalks.

Abbey (H)

Although the weather was appalling today we played our game, we had to be a bit careful, and trying to get the fixtures up to date is not so easy with a full bowls calendar, The Rain slowed down almost to stopping so four games managed to start a 2.Rose Crofts at no 1 played well but j Minton used to the boggy conditions pulled  away to get a lead 13-21, Rachel playing well to go off at a lick and won 21-11,  Di Oliver on form right now 21-12  and Celia turning in a very respectable 21-18  shirley Martin streaked away but M Meredith came back at her but Shirl held her own to come in at 21-15, New member of the team P Scott did well for her first game to gain a good 20-21, all in all Everyone had good games considering the conditions Final Result 117-98

Broseley (A)

First Card off Rosemary Crofts Wing Ding 21-8 against Sybli Rosemary on form  streaked away never gave Sybil much of a chance, Rosemary found both weight and land and was away, Shirley Martin although bowling very well was just second on the ends with Audrey in front or up and at em great bowling but unfortunate for us 5-21, Di Oliver Gritting her Teeth and pulling back from a staggering 9-18 down to just dip out 20-21,Floosie having been 18-12 up and dodging the showers was unfortunate to lose 20-21, The Broseley Ladies are now well used to their new green and Celia played well for her 14 against Chris Rossiter Rachel Led away but Gwen came back at her and went on to 6-15 up before Rach scored again  Rachel tried hard but Gwen now has the measure of Broseley 10-21, Well bowled Girls Better Luck next time.

Maddocks (A)

Unfortunately we didn't do very well today at Maddocks, the green was very sluggish and had rather a lot of grass on it , Consequently we had to push the woods. It was a good afternoon weatherwise and  although we didn't win it was a pleasant game. Our only winner was Lorna Williams and the Score was 83-122.
