Brief Report from Mid Shropshire AGM held Tuesday January 24^th 2006

In division One Bridgnorth ‘B’ went down and Horsehay and Sinclair went up. There was only1 relegation because the White Horse gained promotion to the Premier League. Our two Monday night teams remain in their respective divisions. All officers were re elected en bloc, Stuart Duncan remaining as the fixtures secretary after a rethink. The League is starting two new divisions they are Saturday Afternoon division and Junior division also on a Saturday, but to be played at 6.00pm. The number of players per team and final rules etc to be advised at a later date for the afternoon division. Juniors is to be 4 a side and under the age of 18 on January 1^st. W Wood have entered a team in both so come on all you bowlers who wish to play locally on a Saturday get your woods out!!

Propositions

1. If a club wishes to withdraw from the league after the cut off date it must be the lowest team that they withdraw, whether that be a Friday or a Monday night team that they are withdrawing.

2. Players will be allowed to register to play now at anytime during the season with the consent of the Management Committee.

3. All named players must be seen to be playing on a regular basis in whatever team they are registered to play in.

4. Clubs shall be required to change registered players when in the opinion of the Management Committee they are named inappropriately. E.g. not bowling regularly or registered when their record determines that they should not be

The above are just brief explanations of new rules passed. All others failed the vote.
